At FACES, we do not just teach you how to read a script or stand on a mark we teach you how to fall in love with the craft. Our 4-Month Certificate and Basic Course is a deep dive into the waves of acting, and at the very centre of that journey is the Natyashastra. In my opinion and knowledge you cannot truly call yourself an artist until you understand the roots that start up your body and give life to your soul.

More Than Just Acting
FACES believe in creating artists, not just actors. Anyone can memorize a line or script, but a true artist understands the actual need and why behind every movement. This workshop is designed to take you beyond the surface. We use the ancient wisdom of Bharat Muni to help you understand the exact art of performance and stage drama. It is about discipline and hard work, honesty, and finding that spark that makes a character breathe and feel alive.

Over these four months, we will work on the core tools that every performer needs at their time of drama practise.

Awakening the Body Learning how to use your physical self to express what words cannot.

The Nine Rasas (Navarasa) Diving into the nine core human emotions. We teach you how to find these feelings within yourself so your performance is always real.

The Language of Gestures Using Mudras and posture to speak to the audience heart.

Voice and Rhythm Finding the power in your speech and the beat in your movements and factuality.

Learning by Doing the stage drama
Our training is almost entirely practical and norms. You will be on your feet, exploring how these ancient techniques fit into modern stories and stage plays of the Indian tradition.
